Our contingent of seventy plus Jeannine Remy’s parents and my daughter Simone arrived safely at the Hilton Hotel and Convention Centre, Austin Texas on Monday November 03, 2008. We have decided that the easiest way to keep you informed about this trip would be to create a website on which official photographer; Bertrand De Peaza will post pictures daily.

I am indeed very grateful to those who have contributed to ensuring the success of this project. The main corporate investors in The Rainmakers to date have been The Entertainment Company of Trinidad and Tobago, The University of The West Indies, The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago, CLICO Trinidad and Tobago Ltd, The Ministries of Education as well as Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs and The National Lotteries Control Board.

On the creative side, Artist Nigel Parris has to be commended for generating the artwork from which we commissioned a catalogue of artefacts to fuel our fund-raising drive. Carlyle Mason and Rhett Gordon were responsible for layout and printing of our commemorative magazine, which continues to be a very important source of revenue. Finally, I would like to thank Tony Tyler and her team at Play- It Productions in New York for producing and delivering our two souvenir compact discs.
